Long days. Busy hours. Extra commitments. Hard runs. Family issues. Personal ups and downs. All of these things require perseverance and, in light of some hard news from a friend and just a draining week for me personally, I’m thinking more about perseverance these days. Maybe it’s also because my dad ends most his emails with either “Only one life” or “Press on” and I miss him today – so his words come to mind.
Some of us are fighting hard battles of loss or relational hardship, of miscommunication with others and feeling isolated. Others are simply persevering through tough weeks and feeling tired as Thursday hits. Remember to focus on the bigger picture, for in every situation, whether the trial is big or small, we know that God is for us, not against us, even if it feels like he is.
Whether you’re not seeing your goals realized and your body seems no different, persevere.
If your heart is hurting today, remember that God is greater than your circumstances and persevere.
If it’s just a tough day today, remember that there are so many reasons to smile and be joyful; it’s in taking our eyes off ourselves that we often remember and see this most. Choose to do something kind for someone else (if you do you can then enter this giveaway!), come out of your own sorrows, and keep your chin up.
May your day be filled with joy inexpressible today! Live well & be well,
