Ahh, Thursdays. I love this day of the week. If I didn’t work, it would mean blue jeans and a white v-neck t-shirt or light sweater with a cup of coffee at home. But…since I do work, it means an often tired day. There’s something about being almost to the end of the week but not quite that makes Thursdays an often difficult day for me to push through. But not today! Why? Because I’ve got my coffee, I’m embracing the day, I’m experiencing God in neat ways this week and I’ve read some great articles so far – and wanted to share the latter with you!
In a similar vein, I thought that Jill‘s article on why she’d rather have a flat stomach year-round than 6 pack abs for a few weeks is a GREAT read! I have to say, this is pretty much where I’m at (a little more on the bloated or puffy side than lean at the moment) and loved her thoughts. One of my favorite lines?
“You don’t have to be perfect. Just be a little better, and you’re already moving in the right direction.”
How about this for an attention-grabber by rx-girl? It’s all about “real women” and starts with the idea that we’ve gone to the other extreme of saying, “God made me this way!” and “Just love who you are!” as a result of all the scary-skinny women we’ve seen. I believe both views are not healthy, and this article sheds more light on the topic – read through to the end!
Just a few good reads for you today – short and sweet to give you some food for thought and get you through the day. Hope you guys are having a great week and that you finish it well! Live well & be well and catch ya later,
PS – yesterday was National Running Day in the States! I got out for 6 gorgeous miles and plan to do a comfortable 5 mile run with some KB swings later! Get your run on today if you’re the running type!
