The journey through SK to MB yielded a few fun things:
Coffee Shop Concerts!
(Us and “Papa Thom” in Moose Jaw, SK!)
(The famed “Swinging Bridge” of Worseley, SK!)
Since coming to Brandon, Manitoba, we’ve enjoyed a few more things!
(Mikey’s “Surf n’Turf” and my goat cheese/spinach/roasted veggie flatbread pizza at the Lady of the Lake in Brandon)
Relaxin’ and Maxin’!
Refreshment through Running!
After an excellent sleep, I woke up ready to run, so out the door of the RV I went at about 8:30 am. I wanted to get in the house and share breakfast with the family, so I decided to make it a quick out-and-back speed play run. If you want the most bang for your buck workout-wise, do a speed workout. Here’s what I chose to do for a quick heart pumping run this morning: warm up: 5 min; sprint for 2 min; 1 min easy jog; repeat 8 times total (4 sets out, 4 sets out).
It was a fast 35 minutes and felt great to get about 4.47 miles in (thanks, Map My Run) before finally showering my misted body (it was a nice foggy morning run!).
We have 2 screenings (1 tonight, 1 tomorrow) and will be going to our cousin’s “Buddy Holly” play before heading to Stonewall and Winnipeg for screenings. It’s been a wild ride…I’m glad to get in some movement in between the insanity and look forward to some fun family events this weekend. How are you sweating this weekend? Anything fun coming up for you guys this weekend? Whatever you do, make it good one! Live well & be well and enjoy a quick video of our recent adventures…
