Hey guys! How was your weekend and Monday? I hope you got off to a great start and are staying focused on those goals, loving those around you and embracing the season! I did just that this weekend: here’s a peek at some of the fun:
The 2nd Annual Christmas with the Slater’s party! We were happy to be able to go this year after missing last year; our friends did an amazing job of hosting many people, offering great drinks and food and putting on a great photo booth! Here are our only pictures of the night, but they’re fun all the same:
(Isn’t that Beard Head AWESOME?! Mikey’s wanted one and one of the guys at the party had one – the original kind, imported from Iceland! If I had more time I would order that as Mikey’s Christmas gift for sure.) 😉
I trained some home clients Saturday morning and then we spent the rest of the day doing errands in anticipation of…our 5th Annual Anniversary Ski Trip (lots of “annual” up in here). 😀 If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, we do an back-country overnight ski trip every year for our anniversary and make a video of the trip. It’s cold, it’s sleeping in our tent in the snow, and it’s fresh powder turns together. We love it! THIS year, however, we’re going out for 5 days and doing a hut trip. WE CANNOT WAIT (can you tell by the capital letters?!) and used a good chunk of this weekend to pack, prep and count calories for food to make sure we have enough fuel!
Yes. SO excited. Our actual anniversary this year was on Saturday, so while we didn’t “celebrate,” I made Mikey this photo and he made me this video:
Whew. I cried a lot (good tears!) when I watched it – and still do when I watch it again (at least once a day so far). 😉 Thanks for being a part of this journey with us!
There was a little working out, a little time with the in-laws and church on Sunday and we also had a friend over for dinner. What a great weekend! And what good reminders to think on Christ at this time of the year, to know that I am loved by him and by my amazing husband, to celebrate life with friends and family and to anticipate getting out in the wilderness with the man I love! Life is good and I am thankful for it.
How was your weekend?
For the married folk, how do you celebrate your anniversary?
Only one more day of work and then we hit up the mountains! WAHOO! Cheers to the week before Christmas. Live well & be well!
