Goood afternoon, everyone! It’s a beautiful, warm day here in Calgary with snow on the way tonight. I was up early (for me – around 6 am) to drop Mikey off at a carpool spot for a guys’ ski day in the mountains! It’s now early into the afternoon and I’ve baked brownies for small group, worked on some training plans, gone out to the store for a few errands…and that’s about it! Oh – I also ate a good breakfast and enjoyed a strong cup of coffee. I kind of feel paralyzed as to where to start with such an open day in front of me…Does anyone else ever feel this way on days where the possibilities seem endless?
I’m glad you guys liked the “Motivation Monday” post – sometimes we need that extra push, that extra incentive, that extra encouragement to move more, to go further, to try harder. I think it would be a fun series to keep up, so look forward to more of those posts on future Mondays! And remember, get me those pictures of you being hardcore! I’d love to compile a post of you, everyday athletes and gym goers, fit men and women, with your photos representing your reasons to be fit. Email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Since I feel I’m lacking writing inspiration, here’s a glimpse at what I’m loving lately:
This lululemon tank top:
I love the ruffle down the back, the long length of it, and the wide scoop neck! Makes me feel good, is a soft material, and was on sale (major score – the only time I buy something there).
I’m simply loving my job lately! Sure, I could be working more and need my schedule to bulk up, but I’m also really enjoying the people I’m training. They’re engaged, working hard, and bring me joy! It’s the cold calls to homes I’m not loving and today I have some follow-up phone calls to make so I’m trying to remember that a.) I need more clients so just go for it! and b.) It’s good for me to push out of my comfort zone and not get lazy in my 5-clients routine. Plus, doesn’t it always feel productive to go after things? Sure does.
You read that right: dancing! Not at clubs (you guys, I’m so not cool enough for that!) or out at swanky Latin dance workshops, but in the comfort of my own basement and in the comfort of my own workout clothes (remember? I’m a trainer. I practically live in comfy clothes!). It’s a great way to burn of steam, to smile (especially when you can get your husband to jump in on the fun!), to be totally you (arms flailing and not-so-cool-looking moves included) and burn some calories! Don’t believe me? Check it out:
It’s that time again! Check Lindsay’s mish-mash of moves with the theme of BOSU/Stability Balls for a great workout! Fun videos too. If you’re ever looking for a good workout, there is a steady selection of great exercises building over on the page thanks to her (click on the TT button below)!
Reflecting over the last few days, I realize how thankful I am for my family…I was able to talk to my parents and brother on Thanksgiving while they celebrated with more family in Oregon and just loved connecting! It was great to catch up with my brother too – I just love him and wish we lived closer to get to know each other better, to adventure with him, and to laugh together – because he.is.funny! And I love my parents, who continue to support and encourage me in everything. …just loving the famola these days!
What are you loving lately? Drop me a note and let me know! And send me those photos – I want to showcase hardcore people! Live well & be well friends,
