I hope your mornings have started off as beautiful as mine lately! It’s been a while since my last post; I’ve been busy watching the sun come up in between clients and enjoying weather above 0 C almost every day this week!
But we have been up to a few things these days…like:
trying on outfits sent by my mom…
enjoying long, sunny runs…
Tuesday afternoon I had several free hours to myself and decided to venture out on the now de-iced pathways of Fish Creek Park. My ultimate goal in mind was to head out for 4 miles and then around, making it an 8 miler. But in the back of my brain, I knew I felt like going farther – just seeing what my legs could do after a few days of hibernation and being spurned by the sunshine. Almost 13 miles later, I was home, glowing! Not only from the sun but the accomplishment of running long!
The next morning I intentionally put on my running tights as I prepped for the day, knowing I had a cancellation after my first session and that I wouldn’t back down from running if wearing the too-tight-for-normal-life-tights. 😉 And run I did! As the sun was rising and the mountains west of me were waking up, I was too, enjoying the changing colors and balmy morning air, legs feeling oddly fresh after many miles the day before. I’ve so appreciated runs like this for all they’re worth, with or without music in my ears, watching God’s creation unfold with each step and reminding me that he is faithful to make the sun rise and set each day, even as we continue in our days.
raft-bogganing with friends!
What? You don’t know what raft-bogganing is? Well…better to see and “experience” than read and only imagine…
Other than those fun events, I’ve been enjoying training (I LOVE when clients are ready to roll, push themselves, and when each workout feels like time well-spent together!) and evenings cuddled up with my man. May your days be full of beautiful sunrises and sunsets as you take time to recognize that we are blessed to be able to take them in and enjoy people, health, wellness, and life. Live well and be well friends!
