Happy Valentine’s Day! Although Mikey and I have never really “celebrated” this day, I still think it’s fun to eat candy hearts and give a few extra kisses to my man throughout the day.

Excited about this day or not, I hope your day starts out with a little coffee lovin’ – you know mine did! One cup (black, that’s how I like it!) is the perfect start to my day.
While I may not be a sappy romantic and get more excited about a good cup of coffee than some chocolate kisses or flowers, something I DO like to do on holidays to celebrate is work out. And I’ve got a great workout for you guys today!
For videos of the moves, check out the following links:
-
Sandbag Rows (see seconds 41-52)
Make sure you properly warm up and also choose weights that are challenging to you. Remember, that weight should be tough toward the end of the set! You can always drop the weight down as needed during the rounds, or if you find you’re not being challenged enough, don’t be afraid to bump your weight up! You can also substitute a dumbbell for the swings and two free weights for the rows as well – anything works here, even if it’s a backpack filled with magazines!
In other workout news, be sure to check out Lindsay’s partner edition of Tuesday Trainer…I just may have filmed some clients last night getting their partner plank action on at the end of a TOUGH workout…I was very proud of them! Click here to see the move and the icon below for the full partner workout!
In other LOVE news, Sunday night Mikey and I set up our projector and camped out in the living room, sleeping near our faux fire. We watched Dirty Dancing to get into the Valentine’s mood and it was so fun! I snapped a few pics of my pink eats for the holiday and some of the screen (but while we watched our homemade ski descent video, not DD).
Sheet hanging from the ceiling as our screen = awesome.
Yesterday I worked around the house and online in the morning before picking myself up from the cozy heater, suiting up and heading outside. It was a gray day but a fairly mild one, and I was shooting for around 10 miles. I felt slow, heavy-legged and tired even after Sunday’s rest day; I guess summiting a mountain will do that to you! But I listened to a great sermon and kept pushing forward. I thought for sure I’d come in just under 10 miles but when I clocked it I found out I ran 10.64 miles! This truth made this slow-feeling runner very happy; some runs just don’t feel good but I was glad I went and stoked with the outcome. Especially because the snow came afterward (and hasn’t let up!).
Excited for Bible study, clients and small group today! …It’s a good Valentine’s Day. May you feel the love today!

Great workout, Bonnie! Way to go on the run too.. you’re so right.. sometimes it doesn’t feel so great while running but afterwards it’s always worth it. I always try to tell myself that when I’m doubting to head out or not. Can’t remember if I told you or not, but I like the changes you made to your blog.. looks good!
